The Ophthalmic Diagnostics Center at Amanat Eye Hospital combines state of the art technology with world class expertise.
The need to be able to visualize and analyse ocular morphology and function has led to the invention of highly sophisticated scanning machinery in the developed world which of course comes with huge costs. In a country facing severe financial challenges and minimum investment in health sector, we made it our mission to equip ourselves with state of the art diagnostic imaging technologies by indigenous funding and provide our population with access to these world class imaging devices to facilitate early diagnosis and early referral and improve at nationwide level the prognosis of disease. Aamanat Eye Hospitals presently has diagnostic set ups in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar and Jehlum fulfilling this purpose.
We have available the Heidelberg Spectralis, Topcon Triton, Optovue Avanti, Topcon SD OCT 2000, Corvis, Humphery Visual field Analyser, Pentcam scanning devices which are second to none in their specific diagnostic capabilities.
A highly trained and dedicated team of Ophthalmic photographers and technicians are working round the clock under supervision of DR. HINA KHAN to provide the necessary imaging support during the diagnosis and treatment of ophthalmic disease.
Working as an independent unit since 2012, These diagnostic centres have earned many accolades. Images have been contributed to international literature most notably the Oxford Handbook of Ophthalmology (UK) and www.OCTMD.org (USA).
